SHR support program for displaced woman

In response to the on-going crisis in the region, Swedish humanitarian relief working with local government in Northern Iraq to support women who have been forced to flee their homes as a result of war and conflict. With aid of donation raised in Sweden, SHR made it possible for some of the affected women overcome severe emotional trauma, teach them about their rights, and acquire new business and vocational skills, and form networks for support and advocacy, through workshops to educate them new skills they can use to support their families and other displaced families. 


 SHR are also providing psychosocial support, which includes counselling and referral to special services – to those in need. 





SHR have worked with training classes to empower women to use tailoring skills, also by generous donation from local and Swedish donators, we were able to supply sewing machines. SHR also ran several classes for basic nursing which encourage
young candidates to help and support elderly people in the refugee camps,
